Low-fat or no-fat diets are good for you.

The reason for this is that the body still needs fat for energy, tissue repair as well as the transportation of vitamins A, D, E and K throughout the body.

Experts say that you should still have intake of fat on a daily basis. As a guideline, women need approximately 70g of fat per day with 30g as the minimum. For men it’s comparatively larger as they need around 95g of fat with a minimum of 40g per day.

There is really no need to follow a fat-free diet according to health professionals. You just need to cut down on saturated fats and start eating unsaturated fats such as those types of fats found in olive oil and avocados.

Crash dieting or fasting makes you lose weight.

For any one who’s ever tried crash dieting, they know that it eventually comes back. That’s why any health professional or trainer emphasizes the value and the contribution that exercise has in any weight-loss program.

It is important that people would always combine healthy dieting and proper exercise with any weight loss program. If one loses weight over the long term, it essentially burns off fat.
